Come 和 cheer on the groups who have been working tirelessly to create a play. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. 和 the performances begin at 7:00 p.m. The performance will take place in The 黑盒子剧院, which is located in Building E. 泊车于C地段.

The 黑盒子剧院 at McHenry County College is proud to announce auditions for their fall 2024 production of 变形记 by Mary Zimmerman, directed by 杰伊·盖勒.
玛丽齐默尔曼的 变形记 brings Ovid's tales to visual life. Set in 和 around a large pool of water onstage, the play juxtaposes the ancient 和 the contemporary in both language 和 image to reflect the variety 和 persistence of narrative in the face of inevitable change. Time magazine hailed it as the “theatrical event of the year” 和 the 纽约时报 raved, "With its emphases on love, loss 和 the transforming powers of memory 和 the imagination . . . the production has been reducing calloused New Yorkers to sobs."
There are roles for 10 versatile 和 energetic performers of any gender, ethnicity, or age. All roles are members of an ensemble, in which each member has several features 和 several supporting roles. All cast members must be comfortable in water.
Please prepare a two-three minute classical monologue (from any Shakespeare or Greek play) 和 dress to move for the audition.
试镜 will be held on Monday, 8月ust 26 和 Tuesday, 8月ust 27 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Callbacks will be held on Thursday, 8月ust 29. Rehearsals will begin on 周三, September 4 和 be held every Monday, 周三, 和 Friday from 6 - 9:30 p.m. Performances are November 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17.
