  • How do I register for an online course?

  • What technology do I need to take an online or blended course?

    Recommended computer/technical requirements:

    If you're new to MCC or Canvas, we strongly recommend that you complete the Canvas orientation course, How to Take a Course at MCC Using Canvas, before your online course begins.

  • What skills do I need to take an online or blended course?

    You should be familiar with word processing functions, 电子邮件, 搜索引擎, saving documents in various formats 和 internet use. You need to be an independent, self-motivated learner. Good time management skills are a prerequisite for online learning success.

  • What’s the difference between the terms “异步” 和 “synchronous”?

    在一个 异步 online environment, you can log in 和 attend “class” anytime 和 from anywhere. You're still required to finish weekly assignments on time, as required by the instructor.

    同步 describes real time instruction whereby students 和 instructors are engaging in an activity all at the same time. Some instructors use the chat room component in their online course to promote real time interaction.
